We require a TV advert for our range of fresh fruit juices. It should be aimed at a family audience, but with more focus on the adults/grocery shoppers. It needs to communicate a sense of freshness, health and wholesomeness.

The setting of a farmhouse in the country side contributes to the aesthetic they are trying to create of freshness and health this is also due to the fresh vegetables shown in multiple shots that represent the fresh ingredients used to make the juice. The use of a bright colour pallet also helps to contribute to this sense of health freshness  and wholesomeness as these things and the colours all have connotations of joy and happiness. This fits the brief in another way by showing family and friends working together to create the product giving the viewer a sense of wholesomeness this also appeals and is aimed at a family audience as it shows a family gathering communicating a sense of  togetherness. The imagery of fresh ingredients may appeal to adult grocery shoppers and communicate a sense of health as the product is implied to be organic.

It is suitable for the set design and production as it shows all of the costumes props and scenery. It isn't entirely useful for the people doing the sound production as there is no indication of what music is being played or what is being said such as voiceover or dialogue.

Justify why a storyboard is a suitable planning document for a tv advert production

It can give the people involved in the production a strong visual idea for the what is wanted of them and if audio information is given that can give them a good idea of the sound design

Using your Shooting Script from the beginning of the lesson, create a storyboard for the Coca-Cola Brief.

Could use a buggy

Very hot environment could lead to multiple issues such as equipment failure and possibly medical issues therefore shelter and hydration would be important and possible back up equipment.

Piccadilly circus

Could possibly face issues with finding the right area and time to film as it is a very populated are with busy roads and lots of people. Issues with members of the public. Possibly also issues with occupation for crew and actors in between shoots. Government permission.

Imagine you are putting together just the production team for the new instrument of Assassin’s Creed. This is the team that will shoot with the actors in the VR studio.

Create a simple list of the top 5 people you couldn’t live without!

  • Sound designer: This is because sound is an important part in any game and a immersive VR assassins creed game it would be an essential component.
  • Character artist: This is important as having a design for the character already there for a 3d modeller and can make their job much easier and unique and well designed characters can be an important component in what makes a game enjoyable and can increase the quality greatly especially with a VR game.
  • Motion capture artist: Motion capture is important as it can help make the movements of 3d animated characters seem more realistic and natural which is an important aspect of a game because if the movement feels unnatural in a VR game it may disrupt the immersion.
  • Senior animator: Animators help to bring models made by 3d designers to life this is a key part of the production in any game as they create the movement for characters which adds emotion and realism to a game things that are very important in the immersion of a VR game.
  • 3d modelling artist: They create models of different 3d assets to be used in the game, for example they would make the models for characters, vehicles, weapons, buildings and objects within the environment such as rocks tree or furniture.

2.One client requirement that may effect the pre-production process is

4.One health and safety issue to health and safety issue when filming the promotional video is that the crew must be kept hydrated and in shelter if they are filming in a hot area for a prolonged period of time. Another possible health and safety issue when filming the promotional video is filming in a safe secure location to minimize risk.

5.copy-right

6.One new potential revenue that raven could use is having events in which they play classic films on certain anniversaries this could increase revenue as old films typically aren't show in cinemas and it is primarily new films being shown this means that many people may decide to watch theses films here as it is their only opportunity to watch it on the big screen. Another potential revenue stream is subscriptions, This could be people paying monthly for a membership in which they are allowed to watch unlimited showings or a certain amount per month which is cheaper than it would be to watch.

7.The wide target age range may cause problems when planning promotional materials as their may be conflicting ideas which apply to a certain age group but may be less relatable, appealing or inaccessible to an older or younger audience for example if they want to post their promotional materials onto social media platforms this may make it harder for people of an older age range to access.

Types of Briefs

 Types of Briefs

Contractual:

  • A contractual brief is a legally binding signed agreement between an employee and client that states the objectives the two parties agree to and if these agreements are broken by either employee or client the contract holder would be able to press legal charges.
  • An example of this would be between an actor and film making company
Formal:
  • A formal brief is a contract with detailed descriptions of what is required of the client. This form of briefing is usually straightforward so extra information is usually left out however this may cause confusion, therefore so if there are any issues with the content of the brief it is typically discussed during negotiations.
  • An example of a formal brief is that it is typically used with a company of labourers in which the building is planned and negotiated.
Informal:
  • An informal brief doesn't have to be a written document and typically it may even just be  a conversation discussing the agreements of the contract between employer and client
Negotiated:
  • A negotiated brief involves two or more companies or individuals in which all parties contribute towards the creation of the brief parameters as this is usually mutually beneficial and can help to prevent conflicting ideas.
  • An example in which this brief would be used is between two media companies and one company do the artwork and models and the other do the contracting
Commission:
  • A commission brief is usually used when a larger media company employs a smaller media company to produce a product.
Tender:
  • A tender brief is when a client will advertise their brief and another company proposes a pitch to the client.
