Over the years the oldest most popular news papers have declined rapidly in circulation 

The sun rapidly inclined throughout 70's and 80's then staying at the top of the newspapers in circulation until the year 2000 in which it started to decline rapidly.

The sun and the daily mail both declined around the same time
