-Dull clothing creates a gloomy atmosphere, Autumn, classroom and school equipment, old woman in a hospital gown is out of place in the school and creates an unsettling atmosphere, binary opposition of the old woman and the school girl.
Cinematography
Slow panning used to build suspense in a dull atmosphere, pan speeds up as tension and music builds, tracking shot allows us to sympathise with the character.
